In the early days of Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2, the reunions hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky felt almost clinical. They were designed as serious, therapeutic deep-dives into the realities of young motherhood, adoption, co-parenting, and socio-economic struggles.
However, as the cast aged and became wealthy reality TV veterans, the dynamic completely shifted. The reunions transformed from a retrospective couch interview into a pressure cooker. Security guards became as vital to the cast list as the moms themselves.
