Edwards first entered the public eye in 2009 on MTV’s inaugural season of 16 and Pregnant alongside his then-girlfriend, Maci Bookout. The high school couple was preparing for the arrival of their son, Bentley, who was born in October 2008.

As the couple’s relationship quickly dissolved, their journey moved to the spin-off series Teen Mom (later Teen Mom OG), where the cameras documented their ongoing, often contentious, attempts to establish a functional co-parenting dynamic.

Ryan’s mother, Jen, posted the photo to social media.
