Kailyn Lowry (born March 14, 1992) is a reality television personality, podcast host, author, and influencer best known for her time on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom 2.

Since leaving the franchise in 2022, she has built a media empire, focusing on her podcasts, book reviews, and her life as a mother of seven.

Kailyn’s biological father, Raymond, has passed away at the age of 66. (2025)

Kailyn grew up with very little contact with her father.

Raymond reportedly abandoned her when she was a young child, leaving her to be raised primarily by her mother, Suzi Irwin, in what Kailyn has described as a highly unstable and neglectful environment.

Because of this absence, much of Kailyn’s early storyline on 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom 2 focused on her lack of a parental support system.
