Kailyn Rae Lowry was born in 1992, in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, and had a difficult upbringing marked by instability and strained family relationships.

Her life changed dramatically when she became pregnant as a teenager and was cast in MTV’s 16 and Pregnant. Her episode followed her relationship with then-boyfriend Jo Rivera, her challenges with limited family support, and the birth of her first son, Isaac.

Due to her strong reception with viewers, Lowry was selected as one of the core cast members of Teen Mom 2, which premiered in 2011.

The cost

Kailyn has a big family, and that’s no secret, but the cost of running it can be quite high at times.

She revealed on her podcast that a quick fast-food run cost her $120.

“Seven, eight-piece nugget Chic-fil-A meals for all seven kids. They all get their own eight-piece meals.”
