When Briana joined the cast of Teen Mom 2 in 2017 as the “fifth girl,” she walked into an established group with clear battle lines. While other cast members kept their distance, Jenelle was the first to extend an olive branch.

“I was added as the fifth girl and she just opened her arms up to me,” Briana later recalled in an interview. “I’m going to always be grateful for that.”

This initial bond set the stage for years of mutual support, especially as both women routinely found themselves at odds with mutual rivals, most notably Kailyn Lowry. When Jenelle faced intense backlash and was ultimately let go by MTV in 2019 following a series of highly publicized domestic controversies involving her then-husband David Eason, Briana was one of the few co-stars who publicly defended her.
