Corey was introduced as the boyfriend, and later husband, of Leah Messer, one of the original cast members. The couple shares twin daughters, Aliannah and Aleeah, who were born in December 2009. Their relationship, marriage, and eventual divorce were chronicled on the show, giving viewers a glimpse into the challenges of young parenthood and co-parenting.

After their split, Corey continued to be featured on “Teen Mom 2” as he and Leah navigated co-parenting their children, especially as one of their daughters, Ali, was diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy.
