The pair first connected in late 2015 via dating apps, not long after Evans ended a turbulent engagement with ex Nathan Griffith. By 2017, the couple had welcomed their daughter, Ensley, and tied the knot on their North Carolina property, nicknamed “The Land.”

However, trouble emerged quickly. MTV severed ties with Eason in 2018 following homophobic social media rants. A year later, in 2019, Evans was also fired from Teen Mom 2 after Eason shot and killed the family’s French bulldog, Nugget—a tragedy that sparked widespread public outrage and temporary loss of custody of their children.

The trial

David Eason is set to appear before court in a domestic violence case against Jenelle’s son Jace.

It’s still unclear whether Jenelle will appear as witness or not, the incident happened in 2023.
