Jenelle Evans’ public journey began at age 16 when she was cast on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant, later transitioning into a core cast member on Teen Mom 2. Based in North Carolina, she was initially framed as a carefree “party girl” whose unexpected pregnancy by then-boyfriend Andrew Lewis upended her life.
On August 2, 2009, she gave birth to her first child, Jace Vahn Evans. However, facing the immense pressures of teenage motherhood alongside personal struggles with substance abuse, Evans realized she could not safely raise her newborn.
In 2010, she made the difficult decision to sign over temporary custody of Jace to her mother, Barbara Evans. This choice catalyzed a decade-long, bitter family dynamic that would play out seasonally in front of millions of viewers.
Jenelle’s new update

According to Jenelle, she will have to undergo knee surgery.
“My knee is naturally tilted to the left and my fall made me develop tracking issues and misalignment,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I’ve never seen someone so happy to need surgery, did she even try physical therapy?” one fan commented.
“Just googled “knee cap tracking” there are many at home remedies to help. Only in very rare cases does it actually need surgery,” another fan wrote.
