Thaís, a model from Brazil, met Patrick, a former weightlifter from Texas, while he was traveling in Brazil. The chemistry was instant, and after a few trips back and forth, they filed for the K-1 visa to bring Thaís to the United States.

The Drama & Roadblocks

Like any good 90 Day couple, their road to the altar wasn’t smooth. Thaís’s storyline was defined by a few major pain points:

• The Secret: The biggest hurdle was that Thaís did not tell her father she was moving to the U.S. to get married. Her father was incredibly protective and disliked Americans, fearing they would take advantage of his daughter. She kept the wedding a secret until the absolute last minute.
